Each year we team up with Pigeon Toe Ceramics for a special edition of holiday candles. This year we made faceted votives in two new holiday-inspired scents. We launched this year’s collaboration at Renegade Holiday Market in Chicago and Sunday Best Sale in Portland Dec. 3/4 where they were a crowd favorite. They are the perfect gift; the kind your loved ones will appreciate for years to come.

Warning: you may strongly desire to keep a few for yourself. That’s okay… we won’t tell!

New for Fall 2011, the Mantra Collection is in stock and ready to ship. This collection consists of six new soy candles with fragrances inspired by the East. The color palette is serene and natural with a few surprises; a matte finish, speckled finish and textured finish are making their debut in our signature porcelain.

Like the Signature Collection, the new Mantra Collection uses our proprietary soy wax that is dye-free and burns clean. You’ll love the natural wood wicks – not only are they custom made from domestic wood using good forestry practices, they crackle when lit! Each candle is hand-poured into our artisan porcelain, which is refillable locally and reusable throughout your home as dinnerware or decoration.

It’s our 1st Anniversary!

One year ago we sold our first candle ever at our Grand Opening in Davenport, Iowa (thanks Alison!). Today we have customers and candles all over the world. That is so mind-blowingly awesome that we’re going to celebrate!

Our First Anniversary Party will be at Studio 200 in Bucktown Center for the Arts in Davenport, IA on July 29, 2011. It’ll be an open house format from 6-9pm. Because our party is the same night as Bucktown’s Annual Bash, you’ll need a ticket to get in the door. Contact me if you need a ticket!! I have a stash reserved for Luminology customers.

I’m super excited to unveil our new Mantra Collection the night of the party! The Mantra Collection will be available for purchase for the very first time. As an extra bonus, you’ll receive 10% off all party-night purchases. For those of you not in the area or who are unable to attend, we are extending the 10% savings to website and Etsy store purchases from July 29 – August 15; because we love you back!

Local Refill Service

People think one of the best parts about owning a Luminology candle is the local refill option and we sort of agree. When that wooden wick finally burns away, you can drop off your candle and order a refill at one of ~~three~~ two locations in the Quad City area. We’ll send you a courtesy email letting you know when your candle is ready for pick up. We’ve made it easy for you, because that’s what friends are for.

Select from any of our ten decadent fragrances in our Signature Collection (limited edition fragrances as available) and enjoy all over again the sensual experience that is your favorite Luminology soy candle.

6-ounce refills are $15. 2-ounce votive refills are $5.
